A few attractions are missing though like Briar dog, famous celibrity homes and harry porter/JK rowling info.
More history would be nice..

Went to Scotland in October and carried this book with me. I found it very informative, but not boring. I used the map in back for Edinburgh and was happy to have it.
This series is the best and highly recommended for people that are on organized tours. Images make information intake a breeze with beautiful images and highlights pointed out clearly so you don't miss the treasures you see.
I love these books. We get them every vacation we take to Europe. They are helpful and the set up is easy to follow and flip through quickly. Plus the maps are always great. We have the London, Dublin, Tuscany, Rome, Venice ones too. Love 'em.
I always use Top 10 guides when we travel (which we do a lot), & they are the best. Our trip to Scotland was fantastic, and the guide was very useful. They give you what you need at a glance, yet enough information to make your trip perfect. I have never had a bad meal eating at the restaurants they recommend. Recommend strongly!!!
I should have read the reviews - the version of this is AWFUL. Tiny pictures, lots of white space (some 'pages' have only about 20 lines of text!) and only blurbs and links. DK Eyewitness Travel books are my go-to source for basic travel info, and the print versions have wonderful maps and pictures, but the KINDLE version is a FLOP!!! Hoping I can return this waste of money!
I always try to get a Top 10 book when I travel. These prove indispensable because they give me an idea of what to see and what to pass on. Also the books are always small and lightweight so I can put them in a bag and carry them everywhere without a problem. I know that many of my friends and family also always purchase Top 10 books when they travel. They always give me good advice on sights, dining and hotels.
I ALWAYS take Eyewitness guides with me when traveling...I adore them.... learn so much, appreciate the culture. I have been waiting and waiting for Eyewitness for as my ONLY complaint is that the books are quite heavy...and I have to tear them apart to take with me the section that applies to the place I am traveling to. This is the first book i have purchased and I am quite disappointed! Where are the amazing 3D s of the streets of Edinburgh or the red dotted line walking tours?? Where are the cross sections of the Castles or Cathedrals? All the things I love about Eyewitness are lacking. The information is there, but without the amazing visual material, it is just another travel guide.
